Description

The Water Mill building at Hammermill Farm is an 18th-century structure originally associated with a hammer mill or forge established by Sir Richard Baker of Sissinghurst Castle during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The building is two storeys and has attics in the gable end. It is constructed of red brick with grey brick headers. It features S-shaped iron ties and a half-hipped gable end clad in weatherboard. A single window is present. An original waterwheel stands nearby.
