Description

This barn, located 50 metres southwest of Frame Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of handmade red plain tiles. The barn consists of five bays arranged in a northwest-southeast direction, featuring two aisles and a midstrey on the northeast side. The structure includes jowled posts, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the arcade plates and wallplates, and arched braces to the arcade plates and cambered tiebeams. The roof is supported by clasped purlins. Other nearby farm buildings do not have architectural or historic interest.
