Description

This building, known as the Cottage adjoining to right Gwyn Cottage, is a house that has been converted into a house row. It dates from the early 16th century or earlier and features a timber frame. The projecting left end and the ground floor of the rest of the building are clad with buff brick in Flemish bond, with the base of the wall-post exposed on the ground floor towards the right end. The first floor is clad to the left with applied studs and rendered infilling, while the right side is covered with weatherboarding.

The structure is two storeys high with attics, set on a stepped stone plinth. The roof is hipped to the left and continues with the adjacent house on the right. The narrow left end bay projects forward on both floors, with the roof extending down over it. There is a buff brick ridge stack located at the left end of the "recessed" section. A hipped three-light dormer is positioned at the right end.

The building features irregular fenestration with two windows, excluding the dormer: one six-pane sash window in the left bay and one two-light casement window to the right of the stack. There is a blocked door at the right end of the left bay, along with two adjacent half-glazed doors—one located beneath the stack and the other to the right—both accessed by two steps. Additionally, there is a boarded door that leads up five steps towards the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
