Description
This barn, located approximately 6 yards west of 1 Fairbourne Manor Cottages and Lilliput Cottage, dates from the early 17th century. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, sitting on a stone plinth, and features a steeply-pitched hipped plain tile roof. The left gable end has corrugated iron doors, while the front elevation has central double doors, which were also present at the rear. Inside, the barn consists of three bays with principal posts that have gunstock jowls and arch braces connecting to the wall plates and tie-beams. The roof structure includes raked queen-posts supporting the purlins, and the wall-plate has an edge-halved scarf joint.
