Description

This is a house, now divided into two farm cottages, built in the 17th century or earlier, with a 19th-century front. The front section is constructed from coursed stone on the right end and right side, while the remainder is of chequered red and grey brick. The upper floor has fishscale tiles, and the roof is tiled. The house is two storeys high with a garret, topped with a half-hipped roof. There are two brick stacks: one on the front slope of the roof near the left end and another along the ridge near the right end. The windows are irregularly placed, with three openings: two double-glazed sash windows and one lower single glazed window. A 20th-century lean-to extension, built with English bond brick and a plain tile roof, is attached to the left side, between the two upper floor windows. It contains two half-glazed doors, one providing access to Lilliput Cottage at the left end and the other to No. 1 cottage on the right. A further half-glazed door is found in a 20th-century single-story red brick extension on the rear of the building, to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
