Description
This is a barn located about 15 metres north of Loves Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. The barn features six timber-framed bays and has a midstrey in the third bay from the west. It is oriented at right angles to the road and has a brick plinth. The roof is half-hipped, and there are full-height double doors on the north side. The south porch is also weatherboarded, has a hipped roof, and features double doors near the base. Inside, the barn has cut jowls on the principal posts, a clasped-purlin roof, and vertical queen struts supporting the collars flanking the midstrey. The interior also includes a ridge-piece, staggered midrails, straight bracing, and original studding. The barn is included for its group value.
