Description
Blackmoor Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse, substantially altered in the early 19th century, located on the south side of Beech Road in Marden. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, with a plain tile roof. The house has a lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys high with a garret, on a rendered plinth. The first floor and eaves of the left gable end are jettied, with eaves featuring solid-spandrel brackets. The roof is gabled to the right, and a multiple filleted brick stack is positioned to the right of centre. A loading door is visible in the left gable. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of four-paned wooden casement windows – one two-light and one three-light to the left, one two-light beneath the stack, and one three-light to the right. A panelled door, with a flat bracketed hood, is situated under the stack. A rear lean-to has been added. The interior has not been inspected.
