Description
The Willows is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It features a timber frame with exposed framing and plaster infilling on the front elevation. The first floor of the right gable end is hung with fishscale tiles, and it has a plain tile roof. The building is constructed in two sections: the left section has two storeys, while the right section has two storeys and an attic. The left section has close-studding, while the right section has more broadly-spaced studding with long tension braces. The left section has lower eaves and ridge, with a half hip on the left side, and the right section has a short half hip at the right end. There is a multiple red and grey brick stack at the right end of the left section and a projecting brick stack at the right gable end. A hipped dormer is present on the right section. The windows are irregularly arranged, comprising four leaded casements, with two in each section. There is a door on the left gable end and blocked doorways on the front. A rear lean-to with a stack is located at the right end of it. The interior has not been inspected.
