Description

TQ 74 SW MARDEN BEECH ROAD (south side)

3/29 Willows 23.5.67 II House. C17 with later alterations. Timber framed. Exposed framing with plaster infilling to front elevation. First floor of right gable end hung with fishscale tiles. Plain tile roof. Built in two sections. Left section 2 storeys, right section 2 storeys and attic. Close-studding to left section, more broadly-spaced studding with long tension braces to right. Lower eaves and ridge to left section, with half hip to left. Short half hip to right end of right section. Multiple red and grey brick stack to right end of left section and projecting brick stack to right gable end. Hipped dormer to right section. Irregular fenestration of 4 leaded casements, two to each section. Door to left gable end. Blocked doorways to front. Rear lean-to with stack to right end of it. Interior not inspected.
