Description

Walnut Tree Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with the left gable end underbuilt in brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and the building has one storey plus an attic. The main entrance is located at the rear.

On the front facing the road, there are three windows: the left window is from the 20th century, while the two on the right are casements with glazing bars. The roof has a swept design, with an off-centre rebuilt ridge stack and a rebuilt external stack on the right gable end.

At the rear, there is a plank door to the left, a further four-panel door, a three-light leaded casement, and a two-light casement to the right. Additionally, there are two small four-pane windows on the first floor to the left. The ends of the wall plates and purlins are visible in the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
