Description
Beale Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of chequered red and grey brick, while the first floor is tile-hung. It features a plain tile roof and has a double depth design. The building stands two storeys high on a low brick plinth, with a hipped roof that has hips returning. There are two projecting brick gable-end stacks on the left side and a rear stack on the right. The front of the house has a regular arrangement of three windows, consisting of two 16-pane sashes and a central 12-pane sash. The ground floor has two 16-pane sashes with splayed rubbed brick vousoirs. The right return elevation also has two 16-pane sashes on each floor. The central entrance door is accessed by three steps and features six flush panels, a semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars, and a moulded architrave with a broken-based triangular pediment. The interior has only been partly inspected, but it includes high ceilings with exposed beams and axial joists in the rear range.
