Description
This barn, located about 16 metres north of Hill Place, dates from the late 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, standing on a red brick plinth, with a plain tile roof. The barn is oriented at right angles to the road and consists of seven timber-framed bays, featuring a rear aisle and a central midstrey. The roof is half-hipped, and there are low double doors towards the right end. A central rear porch, which rises from the aisle, has a hipped roof, and there is a lean-to at the left (west) end. Inside, the barn has principal posts with cut jowls, almost straight braces, and a staggered butt purlin roof with vertical queen-struts to the collars. The barn is included for its group value.
