Barn. Late C18. Timber framed, weatherboarded, on stone plinth. Slate roof. 5 timber-framed bays with rear aisle. Half-hipped roof. Full-height central double doors to front. Porch with lean-to roof, rising from rear aisle. Interior: shaped jowls to principal posts. Almost straight braces to tie-beams and arcade plate. Pegged raked blocking-pieces between tie- beam braces and jowls flanking midstreys. Roof of staggered butt purlins. Windbraces to central bay. Vertical queen-struts to collars. No ridge- piece. Walls with relatively close-set studding, and straight tension braces. Staggered butt purlins to aisles. Included for group value.
