Description

This is a house, dating to the 17th century. It is rendered and has a slate roof. The building stands on a plinth with moulded brackets supporting the half-hipped roof. There are three flat-roofed dormers, a stack clustered in the centre to the right, and a further stack at the rear left. The front features three canted bays, a four-panel door with a tented hood on the left, and paired four-panel doors in the centre right, framed by reeded pilasters, a cornice, and a flat hood supported on brackets with three swept rails on plain uprights. At the rear, Prospect Place (numbers 3A and 4) incorporates 18th-century additions. These rear additions are two storeys high with plain tiled and slated roofs and irregular fenestration, including horizontally sliding glazing bar sashes and wooden casements, as well as three boarded doors.
