Description
This building is a house from the 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and clad in channelled render, topped with a plain tiled roof. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring a plinth, a plat band, and a modillion eaves cornice on its hipped roof, which includes two hipped dormers. The house has stacks with coupled diagonal stacks that project at the left end, centre left, and front right.
On the first floor, there are three tripartite wood casements, along with a single light window to the right of the projecting stack. The ground floor has two tripartite sash windows and a semi-circular headed light to the right of the stack, with an opening leading to the basement at the bottom left. There are garage doors at the left end and a central door made of six raised and fielded panels, which is framed by a rusticated and keyed surround topped with a pediment.
In front of the house, there is an enclosing court with iron railings that project two yards and are 15 yards long, featuring two tiers of fleur-de-lys rails. The rear elevation displays exposed close-studded framing. Inside, there is a staircase dating from around 1725, consisting of two flights with turned balusters and square knobs.
