Description

Burnham House is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, which was re-clad in the 18th century. It is timber framed and covered with mathematical tiles, featuring a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has a half-hipped roof, one hipped dormer window, and a projecting end stack on the right side. The first floor has five 20th-century wood casement windows, while the ground floor has four, along with a central 20th-century panelled and glazed door topped with a pediment. The right return front is made of 17th-century red brick, with a brick mullioned window and an offset projecting chimney stack. The chimney stack has moulded bands and three arched niches at the top.
