Description

Rose Cottage is an early 17th-century house located on the east side of Wingham High Street. It is timber-framed and exhibits exposed close studding with plaster infill, with a red brick underbuilding to the front elevation. The roof is covered in plain tiles, and includes a central stack cluster. The house has two storeys, and a hipped roof. On each floor, there are two wooden casement windows. A boarded door is situated on the left-hand side. The interior contains a clasped purlin roof. Originally designed with a two-bay lobby entry plan, the doorway was later moved to the left.
