Description

The Square is a pair of houses dating from the late 17th century. They are built of plum brick, with some weatherboard, and have a plain tiled roof. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic, featuring corbelled brick eaves that slope to the roof, which includes two hipped dormers and stacks positioned to the centre left and right. On the first floor, there are two wooden casement windows, and there are also two on the ground floor, all with cambered heads. To the left is a half-glazed door, and to the right is a door with six raised and fielded panels, both of which have raking hoods. The right section has weatherboarding on the first floor and a gable with a kneelered parapet. Inside, there are inglenook fireplaces with coving and stop-chamfered beams.
