Description

Wingham Lodge is an early 19th-century house located on the west side of Wingham High Street. It is constructed of red brick with tile-hung side elevations and has a slated roof. The building stands two storeys high with a parapet and has stacks on both the left and right sides. The front features a regular arrangement of three sash windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all with painted heads. The central entrance door consists of six raised and fielded panels and is topped by a traceried semi-circular fanlight, set within a double rebated surround. This is highlighted by a large porch that projects outward on Doric columns, accessed by two moulded steps. There are later 19th-century wings added to the rear of the house.
