Description

Laundry Cottage is a house of likely 17th-century or earlier origin. It is timber-framed and rendered, with a tile-hung return elevation, and has a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys on the left side, stepping down to a single storey and attic on the right. The roof is hipped to the left and features a large central stack, and one gabled dormer on the lower right-hand section. It has a metal casement window and a horizontally sliding sash window on the left side, with a 20th-century brick porch containing a boarded door, and a wooden casement window on the right. The left-hand section appears to be a single bay remnant of a larger timber-framed building.
