Description

The Old Bakehouse is a house dating to 1737. It is constructed of red brick, with the left return rendered, and has a plain tiled roof. The house stands on a plinth, with some sections built of flint. It is two storeys and has an attic, with a moulded wooden eaves cornice to the hipped roof. The roof has one hipped dormer on the front and left return elevations, and chimney stacks to the rear left and rear right. The windows are regularly spaced; three glazing bar sashes are on the first floor, and two on the ground floor, each with a segmental head. The central entrance has a six-panel door with a gable hood porch and three steps. A date plaque to the left of the central first floor window is inscribed with "T.E.D. 1737."
