Description
Home Farmhouse is a cottage row dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red and buff brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys, a basement, and a garret, with chimney stacks located at the left end and centre right. The first floor includes three wooden casements and three glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has a wooden casement and two glazing bar sashes, along with three half-glazed doors. The two left bays are 19th-century additions, and the entire front was rebuilt in the 18th or early 19th century. The return and rear walls are made of irregularly bonded red brick, featuring a high plinth, plat band, and cornice, with segmentally headed wooden casements and openings for the basement and garret. The interior is reported to be largely from the 17th century. Additionally, there is a wall projecting from the right end of the front, made partly of flint, which dates to the 17th century and measures about 5 feet high and 20 metres in length.
