Description

Bay View and Marine View are an early 19th-century pair of houses located on Prospect Hill in Herne Bay. They are two storeys tall with attics and a semi-basement, and their exterior is finished in stucco, with the ground floor featuring rusticated detailing. Each house has two windows and two dormers beneath a mansarded slate roof. On the ground floor, both houses have a single bay window with three lights and painted panes, although No. 2 has a modern window. There is an iron balcony with a hood and French windows on the first floor, and the round-headed doorways are topped with semi-circular fanlights. Nos. 1 to 5, which are consecutive, form a group.
