Description

No 22 Charles Street is a corner property built in 1829. It is two storeys high and finished in stucco. The building has two windows facing Little Charles Street and one window facing Charles Street. It features a hipped slate roof with an eaves cornice. The entrance is marked by a round-headed doorcase with a semi-circular fanlight above it. The shop front is a notable example from its time, with the door positioned at the splayed angle of the corner, a rectangular fanlight overhead, and curved shop windows on either side that include glazing bars. This property forms a group with Nos 1 and 2 Charles Street.
