Description
27 Watling Street is a mid-18th century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick. It features a coping and a rainwater head. The façade includes three sash windows with glazing bars intact. The ground floor has a canted bay window topped with a modillioned cornice. At the base, there is a plinth, and the doorcase is adorned with a cornice that displays an alternating triglyph and skull frieze. The doorcase also has a moulded architrave and panelled reveals, along with a rectangular fanlight above. Access is provided by two stone steps. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 24 to 27 Watling Street.
