Description

This is a two-storey, L-shaped house located at 1 Ashford Road. It dates to 1715 and is constructed with a timber frame. The ground floor has been refaced with red brick, while the upper floor is clad in tiles. A section of the original timber framing remains visible. The first floor was originally jettied, but this overhang is now concealed by a tiled canopy which extends outwards over three modern bay windows on the ground floor. The upper floor contains three casement windows with small square panes. A gable is present at the south end, with renewed bargeboards. Numbers 1 to 13 (odd) form a group.
