Description

This is a barn dating from the mid-16th century, located to the north-west of Lily Vale Farmhouse. It has been clad in the 18th century and features a timber frame with red brick cladding and weatherboarded return elevations. The barn has a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped on the left side and hipped on the right, which includes an outshot. There are half-doors on both the left and right sides, as well as a central hipped midstrey.

Inside, the barn consists of four bays with aisles. The lower aisle has deeply curved quadrant bracing, while the upper aisle features straight quadrant bracing. The main ties are supported by heavily concave arch bracing, and the roof has staggered purlins with possibly inserted queen struts.
