Description

Stone Hill Farm House is a 17th-century farmhouse with a facade dating from the early to mid-19th century. The house is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof. It stands on a galleted stone plinth and has projecting eaves to the front with flat soffits. A large brick ridge stack is centrally located. The front elevation has a regular three-window arrangement of recessed 16-pane sashes; the ground floor windows are tripartite. All windows have painted splayed rubbed brick voussoirs and raised painted keystones. The central entrance features a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight and a broken-based triangular pediment supported by shaped brackets. A narrow parallel range extends to the rear, with a further parallel range to the left. The interior has not been inspected. The property was formerly known as the Rookery.
