Description

Kimberley Cottage is a house, possibly originating as a pair of cottages, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed of rendered brick with exposed red and blue brick in English bond to the return elevations, and has a plain tiled roof. The house follows a lobby entry plan with one storey and an attic. The roof is hipped to the right and features a gablet, a gable, and a stack to the left, alongside a cluster of stacks to the right. Two raking dormers are present. The front facade has a three-light wooden casement and a half-glazed door on the left side, and two wooden casements and a glazed door within a gabled porch on the right. A catslide extension projects from the rear. The prominent gablet suggests a possible origin as a framed hall house.
