Description

A 17th-century farmhouse, with later alterations, constructed with timber framing. The ground floor has exposed framing with plaster infilling, while the first floor is weatherboarded. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The house stands on a stone plinth and features a continuous jetty supported by solid brackets. The timber framing on the ground floor is broadly spaced. The roof is hipped. A projecting brick stack sits on a stone base with a cogged brick cornice at the left gable end. A multiple brick ridge stack is located to the right of centre. The windows are irregularly spaced, featuring four leaded casements: three are four-light and one is two-light, situated beneath the stack. Three four-light rectangular bay windows, set on brick bases, are present on the ground floor. A boarded door is positioned within a four-centred arched moulded architrave featuring carved spandrels, and is located behind a 17th-century timber-framed porch with plain bargeboards and shaped, carved brackets under the stack. A lean-to addition extends to the right, also on a stone plinth with a cogged brick base cornice. The interior was not inspected.
