Description

This is an early 19th-century building on Eastgate Street, originally comprising nine to nineteen consecutive properties. The two-storey building exhibits a symmetrical façade, with two windows and one window space to each bay. The exterior is stuccoed, and each window bay is flanked by pilasters. A string course runs along the façade, and the wide eaves cornices support a slate roof. The ground floor features sash windows with segmental heads, and their original glazing bars remain. The first floor has casement windows. Round-headed doorways are topped with semicircular fanlights, and original panelled doors are present. Nos 1 to 27, inclusive, form a cohesive group.
