Description
The building known as the Store, Village Health Foods, is a house with a ground floor shop, dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The walls are constructed of brickwork featuring blue leaders, red flush quoins, and rubbed flat arches, with a deep stepped and dentilled eaves band in Flemish bond, which includes blue headers below the ground-floor cills. The roof is tiled, hipped in part, and follows the curve of the corner. This building is located at the corner of Bank Street and has a rounded end. It stands two storeys high and has three windows on the upper floor, of which two are blank, and one is a window. The 18th-century sashes are in exposed frames, along with two Victorian sashes. The double-fronted shopfront follows the rounded corner and features a central entrance with three-light arched windows on each side, all beneath a curving cornice and fascia.
