SU 42 SW SILKSTEAD LANE HURSLEY Barn and Stabling at 7 Silkstead Farm 25 metres SP/552 south of Silkstead House

Barn, originally stabling with hayloft above. Late C18 or early C19. 3 sides are brick, the western side is weatherboarded on brick plinth, hipped slate-roof 3 bays. Ground floor has 2 stable type doors and blocked W door above, probably to an original hayloft though the floor has been removed. Queen strut-roof. Adjoining to south is a C19 single storey timber framed stable clad in weatherboarding with slate roof. Included for group value.
