Description

The gate piers between the stables and carriage shed at Cranbury House date from around 1864 and are designed to match the stables. They are made of rubbed brick and have a square plan. The piers are linked to the buildings by short quadrant walls, which are rusticated on all sides. The walls feature moulded coping, while the taller piers are topped with modillion brackets that support a wide cornice at the coping.
