Description
This building consists of a barn and stables, now used for storage, located adjacent to Silwood Park Farmhouse to the south. It dates from the 17th century, with extensions added in the 18th century. The barn features a timber frame with weatherboarding and an old gabled roof. It has three framed bays and a central midstrey. The north front of the barn includes one small window to the left of the midstrey and two small windows to the right. The stables have a south front with a gabled extension in brick, while the remainder is timber-framed. The north front of the stables has a right-hand section made of painted brick on either side of a door, and the left-hand section is set back and weatherboarded, featuring two plank doors and a small window on the right. Inside the barn, there is a queen post roof with arch-braced tie beams, two sets of butt purlins, struts from the collar to the top purlin, and jowled posts. The interior of the stables has not been inspected.
