Description
Silwood Park Garden House is a lodge, now functioning as a house, built between 1876 and 1878 by Alfred Waterhouse. It has been altered and extended in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features tiled, gabled, and half-hipped roofs with crested ridge tiles. The layout is L-shaped with an extension on the right side. The structure has a single storey and two storeys, and it includes two gable chimneys with offset heads, as well as a projecting plinth. The sash windows are adorned with level and toothed brickwork beneath the verges. There is a 20th-century glazed entrance door located in the left section, which is set back. The lodge is one of five lodges built for Silwood Park by Alfred Waterhouse. The interior has not been inspected.
