Description
This building is a barn and stables located 20 meters to the west of Millend Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding, a brick plinth, and plain tile roofs. The stable has timber posts with later brick infill on the side facing the road. The barn consists of eight bays with cart entries in bays three and six. The yard side has gabled projections above the entries, and there are lean-to brick stables and sheds attached to the remaining bays. The roof is a double purlin design with small raking posts supporting the lower purlins, collars, and curved braces to the tie-beams. The stable at the eastern end includes three stable doors and two windows. This structure is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
