Description
Millend Farmhouse is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century, with modifications made in the late 18th to early 19th centuries. The building features early 18th century brick in the walls up to the middle of the upper storey, with later red and vitreous brick above. It has plain tile roofs and is two storeys high with two bays. A narrow band course runs along the first floor, and there are dentil eaves. The windows are sash style, with a 3-pane window on the ground floor to the left and 4-pane windows elsewhere, all featuring gauged heads.
A central projecting brick porch, added around 1971-72, has a moulded wooden cornice supported by scroll brackets, along with double panelled doors and a fanlight framed in an architrave. To the right, there is a lower two-storey block with barred wooden casements, including a 3-light window on the ground floor and two 2-light windows on the first floor. Additionally, there is a later 19th to 20th century single-storey brick extension with a hipped roof at the far right. The rear of the building has extensions featuring a parapet on the narrow bay facing the front.
