Description
Keeper's Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. It is constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, with the left gable and the front right gable rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The cottage features an old tile roof and a central chimney made of thin brick. It has a T-plan layout with a gabled cross bay on the right side and is 1½ storeys tall, consisting of two bays at the front. The left bay has a blocked door and window, while the right bay contains two-light wooden casements, with the upper window featuring glazing bars, and an old board door to the left. There is a brick lean-to along the right side, and a 1947 extension at the rear. Inside, the timber framing is visible, with the right bay showcasing wide flat joists and the left bay featuring a chamfered spine beam. The rear gable of the right bay was originally jettied.
