7/2 Burntwood Farmhouse

Farmhouse, once part of larger house. Early C18, refronted 1908 when made service wing of larger house added to left, since demolished. Rendered brick and C20 moulded brick front, tiled roof. Double pile, 2 storey and attic, 5 bay house. Front irregular of 1908 with giant brick pilasters each end supporting cornice with stone coping and raised gable walls with stone coping. Central projecting moulded brick porch in front of C18 6-panel door. Each side 2 12-pane flush frame sashes, with above door and outer sashes, 3 more and left of centre a small 12-pane sash. Above coping in centre early C20 5-light hip- roofed dormer. Gable stack at right end and stack in from left end. Roof has flat top between front and rear pitches. To rear in centre early C18 stairlight with thick glazing bars and similar sash on right gable. Inside interior C18/C19 but early C18 open well oak staircase with square newels and turned balustrades survives.
