Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, which was remodelled in 1786, restored between 1856 and 1858, and had rear extensions added in 1962. The building is constructed of brick, with plain tiles on the front and pantiles on the rear. It has a double pile plan and stands two storeys tall with a dormer attic, featuring six bays.
The entrance includes a panelled door located to the right of centre, framed by a timber doorcase. Above the door is an open pediment supported by scrolled consoles. The sash windows, which are all early 18th century, have thick glazing bars set in flush frames and are topped by gauged skewback arches. The first-floor windows do not have gauged skewbacks as they are positioned directly beneath a moulded timber eaves cornice. The gabled roof has two pedimented dormers that contain sashes with thick glazing bars, and there is a ridge stack located above the door.
Inside, the lounge features a plastered ceiling, with a bridging beam and cornice that are pargetted with a floral design, along with large frame panelling.
