Description
Ormesby Lodge is a lodge dated 1848, constructed from rendered brick with slate roofs. The building is one storey high and consists of three bays. The east side features a canted bay with a central door, which has been reduced in size and converted into a window. This bay is flanked by trefoiled side lights, all of which are covered by hoods on labels. Above the bay are coats of arms of the Lucan family, which include two falcons and a central quatrefoil panel depicting a falcon and a human hand. The left and right bays have crenellated oriel windows with trefoiled lights. A string course runs below a continuous double crenellated parapet. The roof has three hipped sections and is topped with a cluster of gault brick Tudor stacks, which are decorated with diaper, chevron, and scallop motifs.
