Description

This is a farmhouse, originally dating to the 17th century, and remodelled in 1718 as indicated by a tablet. The original timber-frame structure has been covered in brick, which has since been rendered, and the roof is covered with old plain tiles. The farmhouse has two storeys and originally comprised three bays. An additional bay was added in the 18th century to the left. A planked door is located at the right end of this 18th-century bay. The windows are predominantly 19th-century: three-light casements are found on each side of both floors, with two-light casements in the centre right bay. A 20th-century casement occupies the right bay on the ground floor, and a three-light casement is positioned above each bay. The roof is hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right. There is a large ridge stack between the right bay, a projecting stack on the left hip, and a stack on the outshot to the rear.
