Description
This is a 17th-century barn located 100 meters north of New Farm House, which has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The barn features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and sits on a brick plinth, topped with a patent tile roof. It has seven bays and is aisled all around. The center bay has 20th-century sliding double doors, while the other bays contain 19th-century three-pane windows. One end hip bay has a flint and brick wall, and there are doors on the opposite side. A 20th-century barn is attached to the far side. The roof is hipped. Inside, there is a queen-post roof with posts on base plates resting on brick plinths. The structure includes curved braces to cambered ties and straight braces to aisle plates and windbraces.
