Description
The White House is a house from the early 19th century that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and has slate roofs. The building is two stories tall and has a three by three bay layout, with a three bay wing on the right end that is set back by one bay. The front features a central 20th-century glazed door within a 19th-century heavy doorcase, which includes a reveal with flush panelling and is topped by a large moulded flat hood supported by console brackets. On either side of the door are large sash windows with 19th-century louvred shutters. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows. The eaves are wide, leading to a hipped roof with stacks located behind the ridge at the top of the hips. The wing includes a large 20th-century window and a small window within a large opening, flanked by columns, as well as four small 4-pane sash windows on the first floor, and the roof of the wing is also hipped.
