Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, originally part of a pair, with 19th-century additions and 20th-century alterations. The construction is of rendered cob and brick, with brick additions and a thatched roof. The property presents a 5-bay, 1½-storey facade to the road, with a rear range added in the 19th century. A door is located in the fourth bay, alongside a 2-light casement window at the far end. A large, pent-roofed bay extends along the road frontage for two bays, with a hipped bay to the adjacent bay. Four 2-light casement windows are positioned on the first floor within eyebrow dormers. The roof is hipped at the far end, featuring a ridge piece, a stack between the far bays, and an external stack at the road end. The building is included on the list for its group value.
