Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory that has been converted into an estate office. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and features a brick exterior that is rendered on the original part, topped with a slate roof. The building is two stories high and has a main block that measures three bays by two bays, with an additional range added to the rear.
The central entrance consists of a 19th-century six-panel half-glazed door, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight set in a panelled reveal, flanked by pilasters. On either side of the entrance are 19th-century French doors, each with narrow side panes and flush panelling below. The first floor has three 15-pane sash windows, also with narrow side panes. The building features wide eaves beneath a hipped low-pitch roof, with symmetrical stacks positioned behind the ridge.
