Description
Fishing Cottage is an early 19th-century fishing lodge located on Leckford Lane. The building is constructed of rendered brick and features a thatched roof. It is a large, two-storey cottage with five bays in the cottage ornée style. The structure has a plinth and a central 18th-century door that is half-glazed, accompanied by a three-light fanlight set in a panelled reveal. The doorcase is decorated with roll moulding, reeded on each side, and has roundels at the corners. To the left, there are two and three-light windows, while the right side features three-light casements with rounded corners and leaded lights. On the first floor, there are five similar two-light windows. The wide eaves of the hipped roof are complemented by brick stacks on the hips.
