Milestone. Early C19. Painted stone and attached cast-iron plate. Rectangular stone with slightly rounded top, on front large rectangular cast-iron plate, inscribed '8 miles TO BOTLEY, 4 TO ROMSEY'. On route of Whiteparish, Romsey & Southampton Turnpike, 1755.
