Description
Beehive Cottage is one of a pair of lodges built in the early 19th century. The cottage is constructed from brick with a stucco finish and features rustic timber posts. It has a circular shape and stands two stories tall. The design includes alternating full-height arched panels and openings for four upper windows, while the ground floor has two windows and two doorways. The windows are fitted with cast-iron leaded casements, and the doors are half-glazed. Between the panels, there are eight full-height attached rustic tree trunks. The wide eaves rest on stone block caps at the top of the tree trunks, which are supported by a brick base. The roof is beehive-shaped and topped with a small brick chimney. This lodge is located at the old entrance to Chilworth Manor.
