Description

Poore’s Cottage is a house dating from the late medieval period, originally a 2-bay timber-frame building. It was reclad in the 18th century, and extended to the west and rear in the 20th century. The construction is flint with thatch roofing. The building is two storeys high and has an irregular arrangement of windows. It features a ½-hipped roof with pantiles above the rear outshot. The exterior is flint with brick quoins, a plinth, and evidence of alterations; the exposed timber frame at the east end is painted brick infill, with boarding in the upper section. Casement windows are present. A glazed porch with a hipped tile roof was added in the 20th century.
